This week’s Absolute Athlete of The Week is Zimbabwe’s swimming sensation Robyn Lee. Lee, who is based in Australia, was in action for Zimbabwe at the just ended CANA Zone IV Championships hosted in Bulawayo.
To open up her campaign, Lee set a new new championship record in the 17 & Over 100 Meter Back on Thursday evening (16 February 2017). This was just the beginning for one of Zimbabwe’s Tokyo 2020 hopefuls as she went on to win a total of 10 individual medals, seven of them gold and the rest silver.
Lee also formed part of the phenomenal Zimbabwe senior girls’ relay teams that won four gold and one silver medal to bring her Championship medal tally to 14.
Overall, Lee posted five new individual championship records and three team records in the relay events.
Well done, Robyn.
