Gabrielle Dumont de Chassart, U6 student at Hellenic Academy, was the second woman to finish the Mandela Day Triathlon held at Midmar Dam in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa Saturday (27 August 2016). De Chassart, finished first in her category of four young women, second out of the 36 female contenders women and tenth overall out of the 114 competitors in the Sprint Triathlon. Covering a 600m swim, a 20 km bike race and a 5 km run, she completed the course in an impressive overall time of 1:13.51. De Chassart is training to represent Zimbabwe in the Junior Women Sprint Event at the ITU World Triathlon Grand Finals in Cozumel, Mexico between 10-18 September 2016.
