John’s Old Boy Eli Snyman Scoops Blues Bulls Award

Former Zimbabwe U18 rugby star and St John’s College Old Boy Eli Snyman, was named the Blue Bulls U19 Forward Of The Year at the club’s end of year awards at Loftus in Pretoria this afternoon.

After having being approached by no fewer than six franchises during and after last year’s Craven Week in Middelburg, Snyman signed a two-year contract with the Blue Bulls. Judging with the way the year has gone for the second-rower at Loftus, the pick was a good one. He has had a terrific season at the Pretoria based club, featuring for the side regularly during the season as well as vice-captaining the U19 side during their campaign.

Notable names that also picked up awards at the Bulls include Springboks Trevor Nyakane, Jesse Kriel and Francois Hougaard.

Our team here at SSN heartily congratulates Snyman on a grand opening at Blue Bulls, and wishes him more success as he pursues rugby as a career.
