Kyle Hinde Wins Junior Sportsman of the Year

The Sports and Recreation Commission of Zimbabwe held their annual awards ceremony on Wednesday (16 December 2015) and unveiled their winners in a variety of categories.  Rower Kyle Hinde, who recently finished ‘A’ levels at St John’s College, won Junior Sportsman of the Year.  Hinde represented Zimbabwe at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014, and rowed in Rio de Janeiro at the World Championships earlier this year.

Young motocross rider Tanyaradzwa Muzinda was awarded not only the Junior Sportswoman of the Year, but also the overall Junior Sportsperson of the Year.  Eleven year old Muzinda finished seventh at the FIM Motocross of African Nations Championships at Donnybrook recently and was nominated of the Zimbabwe International Sportsperson of the Year Awards in the U.K.

The Junior Sportsman of the Year with a Disability went to Michael Mudyanadzo who plays golf.  Junior Sportswoman of the Year with a Disability was won by Nyasha Karima who does athletics.
