Prince Edward School To Tour Canada Again

Prince Edward School’s Senior Basketball Team leaves for snowy Canada on Sunday (24 January 2016). The team will be taking part in Bodwell High School’s annual basketball tournament.

Set in Vancouver, Canada, Bodwell High School will play hosts to Prince Edward and and six other Canadian schools. In 2013 Prince Edward took part in the same tournament at Bodwell and one of their stars, Patrick Nhamburo, ended up transferring to Bodwell where he excelled as a key player of their team.

The tournament runs from the 28th to the 30th of January and will see Prince Edward play Valleyview High in their tournament opener on the 28th.

Victor Bingura will captain Prince Edward’s side, affectionately known as the Panthers by the Prince Edward faithful. Former Zimbabwe international, Tapuwa Mungunyana, who has successfully coached the Panthers over the past few years will be hoping for gold in Vancouver.

With the experience and exposure they will gain in Canada, the Panthers will be another team to beat this year on Zimbabwe’s high school basketball courts.
