Five high school students represented Zimbabwe well this month in Rotterdam, Netherlands at the Junior World Rowing Championships. Jennifer Lorimer of Chisipite Senior School and Samantha Bibby, of Peterhouse Girls, competed in the junior women’s 2x race, finishing fourth in the D final. Despite windy conditions, Ciara Soper of Chisipite finished third in the C final of the single scull junior women’s race. Paul Zwanikken and Stuart Duncan, both of St George’s College, finished a close second in the E final of the junior men’s double. Kristine Johnson, the rowing coach at Chisipite Senior School, coached the national side.
